Eltron Reduces Prices on P Series P400 and P500 Plastic Card Printers |

SIMI VALLEY, Calif., June 15, 1998 — Leading designer and manufacturer of thermal label and plastic card printers, Eltron International today announced it has lowered prices on two of its already cost effective, high quality card printers. The new price of $3,995 for the P400 lowers the cost of dual sided full color printing to $1,500 below that of the nearest competitor. The P500's new price of $6,495 lowers the cost of printing and laminating cards to $1,000 below that of its nearest competitor.
Primary applications for Eltron's high-image quality, reliable card printers include personal ID, security, access control, membership and loyalty cards, on-demand smart cards and magnetic stripe cards. The P500 offers dual-sided overlaminate protection to extend card life in harsh environments. Both printers feature Eltron's 100,000 pass printhead warranty, sharp 300 dpi print resolution and come standard with WindowsTM drivers and WindCardTM software.
"The new lower price for Elton's P400 now makes card printing more affordable for entry level customers and offers the best deal in the industry for dual side full color printing," said Patrice Foliard, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Eltron.
