| Full Abstract: | Ever since the Wrigley Company put a Universal Product Code (UPC) label on a pack of gum, bar codes have been a key component of the retail industry. More recently, the industrial sector has applied bar coding solutions to the manufacturing, warehousing and distribution of goods.
