WEEE and RoHS Compliance Statement |

Zebra Technologies Corporation is committed to being a responsible corporate citizen of the world. Company-wide projects have been undertaken to implement both the Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) initiatives.
Zebra products supplied into the countries of the European Union (EU) will be fully compliant to both directives on or before their respective effective dates.
As of 13 August 2005, all applicable Zebra printer products shipped into the countries of the European Union (EU) were compliant to the WEEE directive.
As of January 2006, we are pleased to report that our RoHS program is progressing through the qualification phase, with initial shipments of fully qualified RoHS-compliant products scheduled for early second quarter, 2006. Zebra's approach to collecting RoHS information from our suppliers has been to obtain a written response as to the overall compliance or non-compliance to RoHS requirements for each individual component supplied to Zebra. Because of this, Zebra cannot supply specific material content information in regards to RoHS compliance on either a component basis or a printer system level basis. It is Zebra’s position that we supply entire printer level systems and, as such, our responsibility under the RoHS directive is the overall compliance of the printer level system. It is our intention to fully meet this responsibility.
We expect all Zebra products to be available to our customers in a RoHS-compliant form prior to the 1 July 2006 deadline. Zebra believes that the qualification process is essential - not only to independently assess RoHS compliance, but to ensure we continue to deliver the best-in-class quality and reliability that our customers have come to expect from Zebra printing solutions.
In regard to our line of Zebra supplies, it is our understanding that these are not directly covered by the RoHS directive. However Zebra has verified that, to the best of our knowledge, all Zebra supplies are RoHS compliant.
