| QL Plus (QxC and QxD) Information |
| There are two QL Plus printer models, the QxC and QxD. Each model has unique firmware that is not compatible with the other. Loading the incorrect firmware on your printer can cause it to become inoperable and may prevent download of subsequent firmware. Please follow the instructions on this page carefully. |

How to determine which model you have
QxD Models
QxD models have a “D” in the third character of the part number. The part number can be found on the barcode label on the back of the printer, see the images below.
Click on the image below that most closely resembles your printer(s). |

QxC Models
QxC models have a “C” in the third character of the part number. The part number can be found on the barcode label on the back of the printer, see the images below.

PLEASE NOTE: These firmware applications are intended for use on 8 MB/16 MB printers only.
Only download these applications to a Q2D, Q3D, or Q4D printer. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THEM TO ANY OTHER PRINTER!!
