Zebra's high-performance and industrial/commercial bar code printers and RFID printer/encoders now support Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) networks. Pending Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) certification, Zebra tabletop printers will be listed on the JITC Approved Products List for purchase by all U.S. government agencies complying with the Office of Management and Budget mandate executed on July 1, 2008.
This mandate requires that all U.S. government entities, including the Department of Defense, implement an IPv6 network infrastructure and purchase IT equipment from the JITC Approved Products List. Zebra’s will be the first thermal printers to be JITC-approved. The IPv6 compliance capability is available on the following printers.
