This course is only open to members of the ZASP Barcode Partner community.  Please contact cprograms@zebra.com for details or a registration form.  This course provides factory level printer operation and maintenance knowledge to participants at a higher level than other training.  Content includes all of the above and units on Advanced Trouble Shooting, and IT support.  Please visit the course schedule page for the schedule.

Kiosk Printer Installation and Maintenance Course

TTP 2000, TTP 7000, TTP8000, KR403 and KR203

This course is designed to educate attendees on the installation and maintenance of Zebra kiosk and embedded printers at your facility. This course is custom-tailored to meet the needs of your organization.

  • Convert non-ZPL data streams into the ZPL Printer Command Language so that printers can print.
  • How to create and run applications on Zebra printers.
  • Manage customer software installation projects.
  • These students will leave this class with the skills necessary to write, encrypt, and install applications for customers as billable Professional Services.

ZBI 2.0 Application Development

Through the use of real world examples, students will learn how to create applications to enhance your Zebra printer using ZBI 2.0 programming language, such as:

  • Run applications, or prompt users through control-panel menus
  • Interpret input from scales, scanners and other peripherals-all without a PC or network connection
  • Convert non-ZPL data streams in the ZPL printer command language so that printers can print
  • Change the printer's configuration without need to connect it to a PC or push commands to the printer.

The course curriculum includes:

  • High level review of Visual Basic
  • Create and run applications on Zebra printers 

Successful students in this class must possess the following skills:

  • Prior experience with a programming language like VB, or C++ and be able to easily program an application to meet the scope of a programming request.
  • System integration or system engineering skills
  • Manage customer installation projects
  • Understand project management enough to be able to determine project scope and feasibility

Outcomes:

  • These students will leave this class with the skills necessary to write applications for customers as billable Professional Services
  • A flash drive of information and sample applications they produced during class
