CINCINNATI - (March 16, 2011) - Psion (LSE: PON.L), a global provider of mobile computing solutions, has been recognised by Business Solutions magazine as one of the Best Channel Vendors of 2011 in its January issue. Winners were selected by Value Added Resellers (VARs) participating in the publication’s annual survey. Psion placed in the top five percent of all mobile computing vendors for its rugged and reliable product offerings.

Psion’s ranking is based on survey results gathered from mid-September through early October 2010 from more than 2,400 verified Business Solutions magazine subscribers. VARs were asked to rate their partners based on overall VAR margins, overall channel programme, service/support and friendliness, as well as vendor product features, reliability and innovation. Scores were then calculated by Penn State University and Business Solutions to determine the top five percent of vendors in each category for the awards.

“Psion certainly earned its spot on this year’s Business Solutions magazine Best Channel Vendors list,” said Sue Bresee, publisher of Business Solutions magazine. “Psion rated exceptionally well overall in the Mobile Computing category, but particularly high in Product Innovation and Product Features. Our survey results clearly show that Psion has many satisfied resellers.”

“Last year we adopted an open innovation philosophy to co-create and innovate in conjunction with our partners with the goal of increasing the product support and services they can offer to customers,” said Guy Franck Nakach, vice president of Worldwide Channel Sales at Psion. “This recognition from the readers of Business Solutions is validation of Psion’s commitment to our partners and the VAR community.”
