Lisa Synek is currently the Vice President of Global Rewards where she is globally responsible for the strategy and execution of executive compensation, broad-based compensation, recognition, health and welfare benefits, well-being programs and M&A due diligence. Ms. Synek serves as a consultative and technical resource to the CEO, CHRO, CFO and members of the Board’s Compensation Committee and as staff to the Board and Compensation Committee as assigned on matters relating to executive compensation decisions and strategy. Overall, Ms. Synek ensures Zebra’s total rewards strategy is aligned and instrumental in the company’s evolution toward software and solutions through progressive rewards practices to compete effectively for top technology talent in alignment with the company’s employer brand and long-term growth strategies.
Prior to Zebra, Ms. Synek worked at CDW, a leading multi-brand technology service and solutions provider to business, government, education, and healthcare organizations as their Vice President of Compensation and HRIS and Vice President of Business Transformation. As a trusted leader to the Executive Committee and Board, Ms. Synek was often tapped to lead-the-way on transformational initiatives outside of her direct remit, such as leading a $4B GTM sales transformation initiative, serving as a key team member on the company’s go-private LBO transaction and leading the going-public cross-functional team towards a successful IPO.
Ms. Synek has over 27 years of experience in manufacturing, services and technology industries and has served in a variety of roles within HR, Finance and Accounting functions. Lisa holds an executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Accounting from Purdue University. She is a World at Work Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), serves as a Board member to the Chicago Compensation Association, and a co-executive sponsor for Zebra’s Asian Inclusion Network, A2Z.
