AWS Configuration

  • This page supports adding AWS IoT Core Thing configuration.
  • Note: check developers guide to create Free AWS account and creating a Thing to test this feature.
    • Endpoint Name: Unique Endpoint configuration name.
    • Endpoint Description: Endpoint description.

    Connection: AWS Connection configuration.

    • Device Endpoint: AWS IoT Core Thing Endpoint. (Check Developers guide to find Thing endpoint).
    • Port: AWS IoT Core Port. (default: 8883)
    • Client Id: client id to be used by reader for connection.
    • Debug: To publish raw AWS Broker messages. (default: False).

    Topics: AWS Topics configuration.

    • Management:
      • Commands:
        • Topic: Reader will subscribe to this topic and listen for management commands. (Example: /apps/{deviceHostname}/mgmt/commands).
      • Responses:
        • Topic: Reader will subscribe to this topic and listen for management commands. (Example: /apps/{deviceHostname}/mgmt/responses).
        • qos: quality of service to be used.
        • Retain: Retain flag for published messages.
    • Control:
      • Commands:
        • Topic: Reader will subscribe to this topic and listen for management commands. (Example: /apps/{deviceHostname}/ctrl/commands).
      • Responses:
        • Topic: Reader will subscribe to this topic and listen for management commands. (Example: /apps/{deviceHostname}/ctrl/responses).
        • qos: quality of service to be used.
        • Retain: Retain flag for published messages.
    • Tag Data:
      • Topic: Reader will publish Tag Data to this configured topic. (Example: /apps/{deviceHostname}/data).
      • qos: quality of service to be used.
      • Retain: Retain flag for published messages.
    • Management Events:
      • Topic: Reader will publish Management Events to this configured topic. (Example: /apps/{deviceHostname}/events).
      • qos: quality of service to be used.
      • Retain: Retain flag for published messages.
    • Note: Atleast one section need to be configured for successfully adding Endpoint.

    Certificatea: AWS TLS configuration.

    • Default Use key and certificates from local files will be enabled.
    • Note: Before adding Endpoint Configuration The certificates need to be imported into reader. Refer Certificates section in Integration Guide.
      • Certificate: Selects the client certificate to be used from the list of installed certificate.
      • Passphrase: Private key password.
      • Cert Algorithm: Specify the algorithm to use generate the certificate.
      • Cert Format: File format of the certificate.
      • Verify Server Certificate: Flag to enable/disable server certificate.
