Certificates

This page is available only in HTTPS mode. This page can used to 'update/delete/refresh' the digital certificates of the reader of types 'server/client/app' as well as to display the installed certificate details. The current certificates installed in the reader are shown along with the following properties.

  • Subject Name.
  • Issuer Name.
  • Name(only for 'client/app' type certificates).
  • Type.
  • Validity From and To dates.
  • Serial Number.
  • Date of installation.
  • Delete option(only for 'client/app' type certificates).
  • Refresh option.(download certificate from same remote server if previously updated once using "Update Certificate" option).
  • Public Key option.(only for 'client/app' type certificates).

 

To update the certificate the following fields has to be provided,

 

  • Server Based
    • Certificate Type - Select for certificate type 'server/client/app' and server denotes reader's services like https/ftps/ssh. The type 'client/app' denotes reader as client to connect for remote service like 802.1x EAP authentication.
    • Name - Provide name for selected certificate type.
    • URL - Provide the complete URL of the FTPS/HTTPS/SFTP server including the certificate file name and its path.
    • User  ID - Provide the user name of FTPS/HTTPS/SFTP server.
    • Password - Provide the password  of  FTPS/HTTPS/SFTP server
    • PFX Password - Provide the private key password alias PFX file password of the PFX file. 
  • File Based
    • Certificate Type - Select for certificate type 'server/client/app' and server denotes reader's services like https/ftps/ssh. The type 'client/app' denotes reader as client to connect for remote service like 802.1x EAP authentication.
    • Name - Provide name for selected certificate type.
    • PFX File - Browse PFX file from local PC. 
    • PFX Password - Provide the private key password alias PFX file password of the PFX file. 

 

      Note: The web browser might prompt the user install/accept the new certificate on successful certificate update.
