The LI2208-HC can help your healthcare organization improve accuracy and patient safety with next generation 1-D scanning. This linear imager delivers unparalleled performance on virtually every 1-D bar code, regardless of whether it is printed on a paper label or displayed on the screen of a mobile phone, tablet or computer — all with the same reliability and ergonomic comfort delivered by our most popular scanner, the LS2208. Now, the split second pull of the trigger can capture bar codes on intravenous therapy bags, specimen vials, medication and much more, so your healthcare workers can stay focused on patient care — instead of time-consuming paperwork.
There are many types of 1-D bar codes in use in hospitals and clinics. You can capture them all with the LI2208-HC — from the GS1 DataBar codes used on small items, such as medication, surgical supplies and vials to ISBT 128 bar codes that provide information on human tissue, cellular therapy and blood products to lab orders displayed on a computer screen and standard bar codes on supplies like bandages. Not only can you capture every bar code, but the patented optical design provides an industry leading scanning range. For example, 13 mil 100% UPC bar codes can be captured from near contact to over 30 in./76.2 cm away, while 26 mil 200% UPC codes can be scanned at 55 in./139.7 cm away. Bar codes can also be captured at extreme angles, so healthcare workers never need to waste time aligning the LI2208-HC and the bar code. In addition, the optional stand provides convenient handsfree operation for lab workers.
In healthcare, device downtime is not an option. That’s why a patented single circuit board eliminates the most common points of failure — connectors and ribbon cables. In addition, the LI2208-HC can handle drops, damp environments and even dust — and still operate reliably.
Wipedowns are required to prevent the spread of germs and dangerous illnesses in a healthcare facility. Special plastics and IP42 sealing allow healthcare workers to safely sanitize the device after every use — without risking damage. The housing and sensitive scanning components are impervious to bleach, alcohol, soap, water and more.
You can set up the new LI2208-HC in record time with new smart auto-host detect cables that automatically determine which interface is attached, reducing the need to scan multiple parameter bar codes. And with over 90 international keyboards hosted within the scanner, even localized set up is fast and easy.
Our industry leading all-inclusive affordable service plans help keep your LI2208-HC bar code scanners in the hands of nurses, lab technicians and other workers.
