The following issues have been observed and may cause problems in specific user situations. The user is advised to follow the recommendations below when using the Meetinghouse Aegis client to manage their wireless network on Symbol handhelds.

  • The functionality of the Meetinghouse AEGIS Client application overlaps to a large degree the functionality of the Mobile Companion application.  At times, the two applications may contend for control of the radio. In order to prevent this condition, it is strongly recommended that the desired user configurations (profiles) be created and enabled in only one of the applications at a time.
  • When using the Meetinghouse AEGIS Client application to control user profiles, it is strongly recommended that profile roaming be disabled within the Mobile Companion application.
  • When using the Mobile Companion application to control user profiles, it is strongly recommended that profile roaming be disabled within the Meetinghouse AEGIS Client application.
  • Windows Zero Configuration may, at times, conflict with proper operation of the Meetinghouse AEGIS Client application. It is strongly recommended that the use of Zero Configuration be disabled within the Meetinghouse AEGIS Client application.
