Issue / Question
Labels are shifting to the left or right during printing, resulting in bad print and/or media out errors.
Applicable To
ZT610, ZT620 Printers
Resolution / Answer
Click Here for an example of the horizontal drift.
Horizontal label drift can occur because of imbalanced printhead pressure. This is most often seen with fanfold media.
If the media shifts to the right while printing, slightly increase the printhead pressure on the inboard (left) printhead pressure toggle, or move the outboard (right) toggle slightly closer to the left side.

If the media is shifting left, then slightly increase the printhead pressure of the outboard (right) printhead pressure toggle, or move the inboard (left) toggle slightly closer to the right side.
Please note, the adjustment may involve a combination of adjusting the amount of pressure and placement of the toggles, depending on the width of the media. If narrower media is used, the outboard (right) toggle should be moved further inboard first.
