Topic or Information

The contrast and print speed values for the overlay varnish panel can be adjusted to improve coverage of the overlay panel.

Applies To

Zebra P330i and P430i Performance Class Card Printers

Details

The contrast value of the overlay varnish panel is transmitted to the printer with every print job. Therefore the best place to adjust the contrast value of the overlay varnish panel is in "Printing Preferences" of the windows drivers under "Head Settings". When adjusting this parameter, from the Printers and Faxes Window, it is important to close and reopen any application which prints to the Performance Class printer.

The overlay varnish panel print speed can only be adjusted via printer tools in the windows driver. Use the EPCL printer command "+Vv p1" where p1 is a value between 1 and 9 with 9 being the fastest print speed.
