Article ID: 77540867

Applies To

  • Zebra CardStudio V1.1 up to and including V1.27.
  • Windows 7 Operating Systems
  • CardStudio software installed on a corporate network
  • Users who do not have admin rights

The request for credentials is a feature of Microsoft Windows 7 UAC (User Account Control) whenever an application makes a change to the system. If the computer is on a corporate network most users will not have local administrator access rights and therefore cannot change the UAC settings.

The user will need to have Admin Rights on the computer with the installed software.

This issue was not corrected in CardStudio V1.27.  This inconvenience is expected to be corrected in the next released version.
