Article ID: 32987786

Topic or Information

Light print on the cards or poor color intensity can be correct in most cases by modifying the print head resistance (amount of heat) applied to the cards or adjusting the color intensity of the colors you are seeing printed too light.

Applies To

Zebra Performance Class and Value Class Card Printers (P100i, P110i, P120i, P330i, P430i), ZXP Series 1, and ZXP Series 3

The print head resistance being set too low can cause quality issues or faded print on your cards.  Attempt increasing the print head resistance in increments of 100 ohms while testing the quality after each change until you see a quality print.  The following link details how to modify the print head resistance.  Read More>>

You can also attempt modifying your color intensity to remedy the issues.  There are a couple of places in the driver where you can adjust the  intensity of the colors. The various drivers have different locations to do this. Look for "Print Head Settings" and "Color Settings".  Typically these setting will be located within the printing preferences for your printer.
