Article ID: 27964149

How to configure your printer with a static IP address and apply appropriate network settings when DHCP is not enabled on your network.

Applies To

Zebra Value Class and Performance Class Card Printers

A crossover cable and PC to connect to are required as well as an active ethernet connection to your network.

Unlike many other Zebra printers, the Zebra Value Class and Performance Class Card Printers do not have a utility available for configuring the printer before connecting to the network.  You will either have to enable DHCP for the printer to be assigned an IP by the network or you will have to use the procedure below to configure the printer before using it on your network.  The printer MAC address should be located on a sticker near the ethernet port on the back of the printer if you would like to add the device to your network in that fashion.

You will need a crossover cable or a standard ethernet cable, a P.C. with an ethernet connection or a standalaone hub.
