Article ID: 24761264
Topic or Information
Cards may become jammed if they are distorted or curled during the image transfer process while printing. This jamming will result in a "Card Jam" error on the ZXP Series Printer Display.
Applies To
Zebra ZXP Series 8 Card Printers
Zebra ZXP Series 9 Card Printers
Details
It is likely too much heat is being applied to the card in the transfer station and may cause it to stick to the film and then drop down onto the ribbon in the print station. This will result in the Operator Control Panel (OCP) error message "CARD JAM"
To resolve this issue, first make sure the correct card type is selected in printing preferences of the windows driver. If the correct card type is selected then refer the Appendix of the ZXP Series Card Printer User's Manual on Setting Custom Card Specifications to adjust the heat or speed in the transfer station. To view or download the User's Manual go to the Zebra Website and navigate to the Support & Downloads page for your printer. Read More>>
