Encoding a CR, LF, or Null in a CPCL CODE 128 Barcode

Applies To

Printing Code 128 Barcode in CPCL and including carraige return, line feed, or null within the contents


Knowledge of the CPCL printer programming language


It is possible with CPCL to represent the NULL character, the CR character and the LF character within the barcode data.

Normally, unprintable characters within a 128 barcode are entered by their ASCII values, except <NULL>, <LF>, and <CR>. To enter these use the following:

NULL 135 (HEX 87)

LF 136 (HEX 88)

CR 137 (HEX 89)
