Issue / Question
How to modify Bluetooth scanner connection idle timeout using Android DataWedge?
Supported Zebra Android devices
TC51, TC20, TC56, TC75X, MC3300, TC55, TC70X, VC80X, MC9200
Resolution / Answer
By default after 10 minutes of being idle (i.e., no scanning), the RS507 will go into standby mode to conserve battery power. It will not work (thus acting as if it is not paired) until the restore key is pressed.
DataWedge can be used to modify 'Connection Idle Time'
1. Open DataWedge
2. Select target profile (example Profile0)
3. Scroll down and select Scan params
4. Tap 'Connection Idle Time'
- Default = 600 (in seconds)
- Maximum = 1800
- Disable = 0
