Deploy DataWedge configuration remotely

Applicable To

Android devices with Datawedge 6.5 and above. TC20, MC18, MC3300, TC51, TC75, TC70, MC67NA Premium, TC8000, TC56, TC75X, TC55, TC70X, WT6000, MC40

Resolution / Answer

Once DataWedge is set up and configured as desired, The settings can be saved as a single file and distributed to other devices by using a Mobile Device Management system (MDM) or Stage Now.

Exporting Datawedge config

Launch datawedge click on the dots to open the menu and select settings, then Export as shown in the picture below







The exported file datawedge.db now should be sent to the directory "\enterprise\device\settings\datawedge\autoimport"

When sending the file to avoid the need of an extra reboot so that the file will be immediately consume you can send an script which will change the permission of the file to allow read/write/execute rights: "execute_shell chmod 777 /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/datawedge.db"
