Description

This document provides information on Zebra's Hot Swap program, eligibility, and process.

All currently supported Zebra Card Printers in the U.S.

Details

The Hot Swap Program is a service program, which is available in the continental United States only. Printers covered by this program are entitled to a hot swap or a "loaner" printer. This means in the event that an eligible printer needs to be sent in for repair, a same-model loaner printer is available, upon customer request, to be shipped to them while theirs gets repair. This will minimize printing downtime.

Eligibility

Hot Swap coverage is available at no charge during the first year of manufacturer’s standard warranty for the following printers: P100i, P110i/P110m, P120i, P330i/P330m, P430i, P520i, P630i, P640i, and ZXP Series 1, 3, and 7. Hot Swaps Loaners for the ZXP Series 8 series printer is available at no charge during the first 2 years of manufacturer’s standard warranty. The program can be purchased separately to any printer after the standard covered time frame as part of ZebraCare Service Agreements. Contact your reseller or Zebra Customer Service for more information on service agreements, or visit our website. Read more>>

NOTE: Some resellers operate hot swap programs of their own in order to provide additional levels of service coverage for their customers. Please inquire with your reseller about these programs and for details of how they are implemented, since they may not function in the exact same manner as the Zebra Technologies program does.

 

Process

It is highly recommended to contact Zebra Technical Support first to determine if your printer would need to be sent in for repair. Once this is determined, continue with the hot swap process.

To inquire eligibility or to request the hot swap loaner, you will need to fill out and submit a Repair Order (RO) form online (make sure you place your request in the Comments section).  Read more>>

The Repair Support team will then send an email with additional details of the repair and hot swap process. The loaner printer will ship same-day overnight once the request is approved.
