In situations where “Line Feed” needs to be appended after scanned data in the Wavelink Telnet Client, a Scan Handler can be created to add the proper ASCII characters to the end of a scanned input.
To create a Scan Handler that will add “Enter” to the end of a scanned input, follow these steps:
This will work for ALL emulation types including IBMHOST (5250/3270), VT and HP but a better solution for VT or HP emaultion would be to modify the "Scan Terminator". Read More>>
To create a Scan Handler that will add “Enter” to the end of a scanned input, follow these steps:
- Start the Wavelink Telnet Configuration manager (ActiveSync version) then click Emulation Parameter.
- If you are using the Avalanche Console right click the package on the Wavelink Console and select Configure Package, then Emulation Parameters.
- Click the Scanner folder.
- Expand the Common folder.
- Right click on Scan Handler and select Add.
- Add the following: A(0)[A\0A]
- Click OK. This will add a new line to the end of every scan.
- Click OK to save the changes.
- Update the terminal with the changes.
