Answer

To configure the SPT1846 for WEP Encryption, follow these steps:
  1. Select the Prefs icon from the Main Application Screen.
  2. Select Network by tapping the drop down arrow in the upper right side of the screen.
  3. Tap the Service drop down arrow and select Spectrum24 11M.
  4. Tap Details and enter your ESSID information.
  5. Place a check mark in each of the boxes next to Show on Assoc Screen, IP Address and DNS. Information about those selections is available in the SPT1800 PRG.
  6. Tap the Radio Config button to set the radio configuration parameters. The default password is Symbol. It is case sensitive.
  7. Tap the pulldown (down arrow) next to Encryption to select WEP 40 or 128.
  8. If you select WEP 40 you need to select a Key Index (1-4) and fill in a Key line (1-4) with 10 hex digit characters. If you choose WEP 128 you need to fill in the Key line (1-4) with 26 hex digital characters. Hex digital consists of A through F and 0 through 9.
  9. Tap Done.
  10. Tap OK.
  11. Tap Connect to connect to your access point.
