How to Change the Font Size in Pocket Browser Using a Registry File?
Facts
Unlike Pocket IE, Pocket Browser does not have a GUI based way of changing the default font size.
Answer
Add a registry key to change the default font size to the SPB.reg (or SIE.reg) file.
- Using the explore feature in ActiveSync locate the SIE.reg or SPB.reg file in the \Application folder.
- Copy the registry file to the desktop of your PC.
- Right click on the registry file on your desktop and choose edit.
- Add the following key to the bottom of the file:
-
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Symbol\SymbolPB\Tags\TextSize] "Smallest"=dword:00000000
-
- This particular entry sets the font to Smallest.
- You can also use:“Largest” “Larger” “Medium” (Default)“Smaller” "Smallest”
- Save the file.
- Place the file in the \Application folder of the device using the same method as in Step 1, overwriting the original file.
- Cold boot (hard reset) the device.
