Resolution / Answer

Cold booting sets the control panel settings back to factory defaults. Create a registry key and place it in the Application folder of the MC90xx.

Procedure:
 

  1. Set the duration for timed aim modes:
NOTE Aim Duration is the time for which the laser will be enabled when the Aim Type is either Trigger or TimedHold.  The value specified is in milliseconds with a Range = 0- 60000, in increments of 100.  The default is set to 500ms.

 

  1. You can find the registry key at:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\BarCodeReader\Settings]

  1. Export the registry key and place the .reg file into the Application folder on the device.
  2. Cold boot to test.
