Article ID: 35603906

Symptom

The MC50 device will not power on when the power button or any other button is pressed. The device is fully charged or in the cradle.

Facts

MC50

Root Cause

The battery door switch is not in the locked position, in which case, a red dot will be visible next to the switch.

Resolution

Move the switch to the locked position.
  1. Hold the MC50, so that the back of the unit is facing up.
  2. Locate the “battery switch” at the upper right hand side of the battery.  There is a tiny picture of a battery next to it.
  3. Using the tip of the stylus, push the switch to the right so that you no longer see the red dot.  This will indicate that the battery is locked in and that the MC50 is ready to be used.
  4. Power on the unit by pressing the power button.
