Network requirements to allow for connectivity to printer using ZebraNet PrintServer II
All Zebra Card Printers using ZebraNet PrintServer II
The network requirements for the ZebraNet PrintServer II are as follows:
Zebra's ZebraNet PrintServer II must be connected to the network with an Ethernet cable and standard RJ-45 connector. It is important that the port that the printer is connected to is configured correctly:
- The port must be set to a speed of 10Mbs. If the port is set to 100Mbs the print server will not be able to communicate with the network. if you select "Auto", allowing the network to select the port speed this may or may not work. It is recommended that the port be set specifically for 10Mbs.
- The port must be set to "Half Duplex", allowing data to flow in only one direction at time.
- The IP addressing must be done through DHCP or the user will need to manually assign a static IP after the print server has been reset.
