Most commonly caused by wrong encoder data being sent to the encoding hardware.

This error occurs when the magnetic encoding data that the software is sending does not match the parameters that have been set for the printers magnetic encoder hardware.

The most common cause of this is sending non-ISO data when the encoder has been set for ISO encoding. For example; using lowercase alpha characters on any of the three tracks. Check that the data being sent has the proper syntax. Check to see that the printer driver and software application are set up with the same encoder settings
