Some Zebra printer models support the Head Test Feature. This allows the user to run a test at a given interval and receive details on if a print head element has gone bad. The ZPL command ^JT is used to set the test interval and the ~HQJT command can return the test results back to the host. Here is an example using the Zebra Setup Utility to return data from the host.
