Print Orientation is Different than Older Zebra EPL Printers

Article ID: 43336881

Topic or Information

Print Orientation is 180 degrees reversed from earlier EPL Desktop Printers
Labels are upside down compared to the old printers

Applies To

ZPL/EPL compatible desktop printers such as G-Series and 2824Plus

The newer desktop printer models (2824 Plus/G-Series) support both ZPL and EPL printer languages and the preference is ZPL functionality. The label orientation in ZPL is inverted 180 degrees reversed from EPL by design. To match the orientation to an older style EPL printer (TLP/LP2844 for example) you must include a ZT command in your EPL format. This will allow the same print orientation to appear for all your EPL supported printers. Here is the EPL command information.
