Overview or Cause

The allcv contains all available settings configured on a printer. These can be useful for troubleshooting or recording existing values. This data is lengthy and is best captured using the Zebra Setup Utility and then exported to a file. The default data timeout setting on the Zebra Setup Utility will not allow the complete configuration list to be captured so changing the ZSU timeout setting is required.

Capturing the allcv using the Zebra Setup Utility (ZSU)

There is a Communications timeout feature that limits the ZSU request / response time cycle (default 5 seconds). If the target printer does not respond within that time the communication is terminated and may result in truncated or no data being returned. Lengthening that Communications timeout interval corrects the issue.

To change the timeout interval

  1. Open the ZSU Application
  2. Select the Options button.
  3. Raise the Communications timeout value until the feature works reliably. Suggest 25-35 seconds
