Printing a self-test card is useful in checking the operation of the printer.  It is also useful in verifying if the printer is the cause of a problem of it the issue resides within driver or software settings.

Zebra Performance Class and Value Class Card Printers (P100i, P110i, P110m, P120i, P330i, P430i)

Details

With ribbon and cards loaded, your Performance or Value class card printer is ready to print. To check the operation of the printer you should print a test card

  • Place the printer's power switch in the OFF (0) position.
  • While pressing the panel button, switch printer on.
  • Keep button depressed until the display says self test. "Printers without a display will flash the green indicator light"
  • Release the panel button and a test card will print.

This can also be printed from the driver or printer properties.  See the link below on how to access the devices settings of the printer and then the tools.  The document is specific to sending a command to the printer, but if you send a capitol "A" command or click the Print button next to "Print Test Card" you will trigger a self-test card print.  Read More>>
