Resetting the ZebraNet PrintServer II on P-Series Card Printers

It is sometimes necessary to default/reset the ZebraNet PrintServer II to correct network connectivity issues

When installing your printer, it may be necessary to reset your print server. When you first power on the printer and connect the Ethernet cable, the print server will expect to be assigned an IP address immediately. If this does not occur within two minutes, it will default to or (depending on version firmware). When this happens, the only way to communicate with the printer is to reset the print server.

Use the following procedure to reset the ZebraNet PrintServer II.

  • Locate the "push button" on the rear of the printer. It is located just to the left of the connector for the Ethernet cable. You will need a small tip like the end of a paper clip to access the button inside the hole that is to the left of the Ethernet connector. (This is the same button used to print the IP Configuration card)
  • Turn off the printer.
  • Press down and hold in the button.
  • Turn on the printer.
  • Hold button down until a card feeds and the printer begins to print the IP Configuration card.
  • Release button and return to computer to assign an IP address.
