Question

How can a tech-support dump file be obtained from an NX controller? How can a tech-support dump file be obtained from an RFS controller? How can a tech-support dump file be obtained from an AP?

Facts

The tech-support dump can only be obtained when logging into the CLI as there is no way to export the tech-support from the GUI.

Answer

Connect to your Controller or AP using telnet (if enabled) or SSH and run the following commands from the CLI:
 
rfs4000-1BD0BE>en
rfs4000-1BD0BE#service copy tech-support <File or URL from the info below>

  FILE  File to which to copy
               usb1:/path/file
  URL   URL to which to copy
        URLs:  tftp://<hostname|IP>[:port]/path/file
               ftp://<user>:<passwd>@<hostname|IP>[:port]/path/file
               sftp://<user>:<passwd>@<hostname|IP>[:port]>/path/file
        IPv6 URLs:  tftp://<hostname|[IPv6]>[:port]/path/file
               ftp://<user>:<passwd>@<hostname|[IPv6]>[:port]/path/file
               sftp://<user>:<passwd>@<hostname|[IPv6]>[:port]/path/file

To obtain the tech-support file from AP's adopted to your controller the following command can be run from the CLI:
 
rfs4000-1BD0BE#remote-debug copy-techsupport hosts <REMOTE-DEVICE-NAME from below> <File/URL info from above>

  REMOTE-DEVICE-NAME  Name of remote system (multiple name separated by
                      spaces)
