Symptom 

Database Error when attempting to connect to an Excel 2007 Database using CardStudio.

Database Error

 

The Excel File must be compatible for use with CardStudio. CardStudio will only use Excel files with .xls extensions. (97-2003 Workbooks)

  1. Open the Excel 2007 file
  2. Click "Save As"
  3. Select Excel 97-2003 Workbook
     

This will save the file with a .xls extension and will allow CardStudio to use the file as a database.
