Updating the Read/Write SNMP Community Changes the Administrative Password
Article ID: 35367030
Using SNMPset to change the read/write community of an access point also changes the administrative password of the AP4121. This process works in the opposite direction, as changing the administrative password will also change the read/write community string.
The SNMP read/write community and administrative password share the same variable within the AP4121 firmware. This behavior can be considered a security risk because a user that knows the SNMP read/write community string also has administrative privileges on the device.
