Note: If this application fails to function correctly there are other methods available to upgrade firmware on a Zebra Printer.

To locate ZDownloader on the Zebra.com website.
- Go to www.zebra.com
- Select the Support & Downloads header on the webpage
- Select a printer
- When the printer page opens, locate the Software Utilities tab
- Scroll down to the ZDownloader Utility and select download link

Overview
ZDownloader is used to send firmware and files to printers, over network, USB, RS-232 or Parallel port connections.
Procedure
NOTE: Run Zdownloader as administator
Example of a USB connection to Download Firmware using the ZDownloader Utility
Open the ZDownloader, click on the file menu item "Printer" and select “Auto Detect”

8. Select the printer that shows USB as the Port.
9. Select "File", "Select Firmware File"
10. Browse to the location of the saved firmware file and click "Open"
11. From the top menu select "Printer", "Download All"
It will take a few minutes to download while the progress message displays.
Allow sufficient time for the firmware to finish processing after the download has completed as there are verification and decompression steps that may be occurring without a printer front panel indication.
