Zebra Card Printer Not Printing Colors Correctly

All Zebra drivers have Print Head Settings and Color settings sections, here you will have individual control over every color panel. As color quality is a subjective item, you will need to adjust the settings until you achieve an image to your liking. There are no preset values that will assure the correct color on every image.

Applies To

Zebra Performance Class and Value Class Card Printers (P100i, P110i, P110m, P120i, P330i, P330m, P430i)


The photos are printing with a yellow tint, how can I correct this?

This solution is useful for

  • All printer models
  • Adjusting the colors using the color correction section of the Zebra driver

Symptoms addressed by this solution include

  • Poor Color matching
  • Yellow tint
  • Blue tint

Most image capture drivers will have a way to make color corrections before the picture is taken. If your software does not have this kind of control, the Zebra Windows driver will need to be changed to change the printed image. You will find the color and head settings in the Properties section of the printer driver under Printing Preferences.  See below:

Once in the preferences, open your Color Adjustment Properties:

In the following dialog box you can adjust your color settings.  This is done on somewhat of a trial and error basis until you find the settings that allow for a card to print to your liking:

Beyond these steps you may just have to recalibrate the printer's ribbon sensors.  See the link within Additional Information below for information regarding calibrating the printer.
