Details:
Certain wireless network controllers and access points may be unable to negotiate the WPA key exchange properly when authenticating the wireless printer if Protect Management Frames is in use. This feature is enabled by default in Vxx.20.01Z firmware.
Resolution:
Disable the Protected Management Frames feature on the printer. Turning this feature off will not cause any loss of performance or functionality.
Using the Zebra Setup Utilities (ZSU), open a direct communications window and send the following command to the printer:
! U1 setvar "wlan.pmf" "disabled"
For more information refer to Zebra Setup Utilities: Sending Files to a Printer.
Reboot the printer and ensure that it properly authenticates onto the wireless network.
