Configuring Print Quality using the Zebra Setup Utility

The Zebra Setup Utility can be used to configure print quality.  The ZSU will send some test labels to the printer with different combinations of darkness and print speed values.  You can then choose the label with the best quality and the ZSU will send those label settings to the printer.


Open the ZSU and select your printer, then click Configure Print Quality:

Here you can choose to print the sample labels or choose the settings manually.  Choose print sample labels:

Now you you can choose how many sample labels to print:

After the sample label print, choose the label set that looks like it has the appropriate print quality for your application:

Notice when you have made your selection, the print speed and darkness that will be sent to the printer are displayed:

At this point you can click Finish or Next.  If you select Next you will have the option to save the settings to a text file before sending to the printer:
