Zebra Setup Utilities Communications Window does not allow use of non-ANSI character entries

You can not change the character sets when using the Zebra Setup Utility communications window feature. ANSI is the only character set used. A user may see corrupted content or other anomalies related to charter display when using the Communication Window feature.

Applies To

Zebra Setup Utility Communications Window feature (Direct Communication) to a Zebra Printer

Excludes: ZQ110, EM220, EM220II


The Communications Window of the Zebra Setup Utility can be used to send printer commands directly to the printer's port and receive data back to the host.  The ZSU will use the selected port in the Zebra Designer Driver for the given printer. The only character set supported is ANSI.
