Cause or Overview

There is currently a known issue with ZebraDesigner for mySAP Version 2 that did not exist with Version 1. ITF files generated by ZebraDesigner for mySAP V2 are not including /( in front of any lines of the ~DG (download graphic) ZPL code. When the /( is missing from an itf file this can result in the issues described above.

The code causing the error is created whether the Export option “Create SAPscript file on disk” or “Create SAPscript file on disk and download objects to printer(s)” is used.  There are a few ways to prevent or eliminate the error until the issue is permanently fixed. If possible, eliminate any graphics from your label format and for all text fields use only fonts that are internal to the printer (such as Zebra 0). Fonts that are not internal to a printer and that are not stored on the print are sent as a graphic. If this is not possible, then it is necessary to manually append all of the missing /( characters in front of each line within the ITF file

The release date for the next versions of ZebraDesigner software is not known but a fix for this issue is anticipated. Current ZebraDesigner for mySAP version 2 users should check www.zebra.com for a released version above the current v2.2.2 (Build 2730.2728)
