MC2100 Operating System Professional BSP 01.34.17 - Hotfix CFE 01.00.00 Release Notes

Introduction

This patch resolved the following issue: MC21XX – Unit launches calibration screen when blue button is in lock state and scan trigger pressed. This is not an issue but a feature added in MPA2.0 keyboard driver and which can be controlled by using the “TouchCalibrateEnable” registry key. . In MC21XX, “TouchCalibrateEnable” registry key doesn’t function as expected.

Description

As part of the fix, the keyboard driver was modified to use different registry key to differentiate between the Touch and NonTouch device instead of using the “TouchCalibrateEnable” registry key. To disable the launch of the calibration screen on function key lock and trigger press, the following registry key setting must be either disabled or deleted from the registry.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Hardware\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD]

"TouchCalibrateEnable"= DWORD: 0  (Disabled).
