Secondary Navigation

The Secondary Navigation component provides an additional layer of navigation on a page. The component is only available when using the Zebra.com header and allows users to easily access lower level pages within a section, especially if those pages are not available in the primary navigation menus.

Authoring, Requirements and Specifications

Placement

  • Can only be placed below the header
  • Add or remove using the "Enable Secondary Navigation" checkbox from the Navigation Component (right click in header area) directly on the page or parent page where the Secondary Navigation component will be displayed


Path

  • Usage: the path if the item will be a link and/or path when the sub-menu is populated dynamically


Label

  • Required Field
  • Usage: Label of the item in the secondary navigation
  • Character count (recommended max.): 15 including spaces
  • Case: Title
  • Translatable Field: Yes; page must be sent for translation manually


Mobile Label

  • Usage: Small screen label of the item in the secondary navigation
  • Character count (recommended max.): 15 including spaces
  • Case: Title
  • Translatable Field: Yes


Mobile Link Label

  • Usage: Label of the link displayed within the in the sub-menu on small screens if "Enable Primary Nav Link" is selected
  • Character count (recommended max.): 15 including spaces
  • Case: Title
  • Translatable Field: Yes


Enable Primary Nav Link

  • When selected, the item is clickable


Levels

  • Number of sub-menus displayed; only 0 or 1 should be used


List Type

  • Dynamic: Items in the sub-menu are generated by the system based on the URL specified in the "Path" field
  • Manual: The sub-menu is created based on the selected URLs and entered labels in the Manual Configuration section
  • Mixed: Items in the sub-menu are created dynamically based on the specified URL and the Manual Configuration


Manual Configuration

  • Path: Link for the sub-menu item
  • Label: Label of the link displayed in the sub-menu item
    • Translatable Field: Yes
