Distorted Print on Zebra Card Printers

 The test card prints properly but when printing from the PC the print looks skewed, distorted, choppy or split.

Communication Error:

When a print job is sent to the printer, the data stream can sometimes become corrupted. When this happens, you will see that the image on the card is distorted, ghosting, or printed with unusual colors.

    Remove any A/B style switchbox as well as any software or hardware keys that are attached to the port. There now should be just the cable between the printer and the computer. Print the Windows test page from the driver. If the problem remains, replace the interface cable. Should this not correct the problem, have your IT staff examine the port or move the printer to another PC
