What is Adaptive Scanning?
Our patented Adaptive Image Scanning technology automatically toggles between a wide and narrow scan angle until a barcode is detected, allowing users to zoom in on barcodes and zoom out to capture barcodes at near contact.
By default, devices with standard range lasers have “adaptive scanning” enabled. This mode switches the length of the scan to read tiny and large bar codes.
To turn this off, place the following registry file in the APPLICATION folder:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\BarCodeReader\Settings] "ReaderParams" = hex:\ 84,00,00,00,50,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,f4,01,00,00,01,00,00,00,02,\ 00,00,00,02,00,00,00,88,13,00,00,00,00,00,00,01,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\ 00,00,01,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,64,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,c4,09,00,00,c8,00,00,\ 00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\ 00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\ 00,00,00,00,00,00,00
