WEP Key Rotation can be set up through the Avalanche Console using a Network Profile.
- Start your Avalanche Console and connect to your local Agent.
- On the left hand side of the Avalanche Console, you will see “Network Profiles”. Right click on Network Profiles.
- Select New Network Profile. Enter a name.
- If you have a “+” sign to the left of “Network Profiles”, click it with the left mouse button.
- Right Click your Network Profile and select “Settings.
- Select the “Security” tab.
- Select Edit Global Settings” first to configure the WEP Key Rotation values.
- Click on Key Size and select the size of WEP Key to generate.
- Select Start Date to choose the day that you would like the WEP Key Rotation settings to take effect.
- Select Start Time to choose the time that you would like the WEP Key Rotation settings to start.
- Select Key Rotation Interval to choose how often the WEP Key should be rotated.
- Select Pass Code and key in any alpha-numeric value up to twenty characters in length. This will generate the first WEP Key.
- Select Apply.
- Respond to the warning message with a “Yes” or a “No”. This message is letting you know that the change you are making could result in a loss of connectivity of your wireless network. The software wants to make sure you want to make these changes.
- Select OK.
- Click on the box labeled Enable WEP Key Rotation. This will place a check mark in this box.
- Select “Apply” then OK.
- Right Click your Network Profile and select Enable Network Profile.
- Right Click your Network Profile again and select Set as Default Profile.
