Answer

A page containing a JavaScript error prompts an alert box and will not allow you to view the current page, when using Motorola Solutions Pocket Browser or Pocket IE.

By default  Motorola Solutions PocketBrowser has a registry setting that shows all script errors.  Since  Motorola Solutions  PocketBrowser shares the some of the same registry keys as Pocket IE, this error will show up in either application.

The SPB.reg file needs to be edited and the value containing the script access must be set to 0.
  1. Pull the SPB.reg file off of the terminal using Activesync and place it on the PC.  It will be located in the \Application folder.
  2. Right click on the SPB.reg file and choose edit.
  3. Change the key listed below so the dword shows eight 0’s as noted below.
  4. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
  5. "ShowScriptErrors"=dword:00000000
  6. Save the file.
  7. With Activesync, use the SPB.reg file to overwrite the one in the \Application folder.
  8. Cold boot the terminal.
