Applies To

Cause or Overview

This issue is typically caused by a wrinkle in the ribbon.  The folding over or crinkling of the ribbon causes the tiger stripe effect to occur

In most cases, adjusting the print head resistance correct the issues.  If is does not, make sure the ribbon is properly aligned on it's spindles and not feeding incorrectly from the supply roll to the takeup roll.  For information on adjusting print head resistance click the following link.  Read More>>

If these steps do not resolve the issue, your print head may need adjustment.  This has to be done by a Zebra Authorized Service Provider or at the Zebra repair facility.  See Helpful Information for assistance on these steps if needed.
